📅 New Player Pathways for 2026
To better support player development and club growth, MUFC will restructure into three distinct pathways:
1. Elite Pathway (Click here to apply) - VYPL Boys, CPL Girls, VPL Women, VPL Men, Kangas MiniRoos
A high-performance stream from MiniRoos Kangas through to Senior squads for players committed to elite football development. Teams will be selected based on merit and placed in the strongest competitions available.
This pathway is designed for male and female teams from U10's to Reserves. Including Victorian Youth Boys Premier League and Community Premier League Girls.
2. Competitive Pathway (Click here to apply) Community A's - C's, Wallabies & Joeys MiniRoos. Metro Men, Metro Women
For players seeking strong competition with more flexibility in training and commitment. Suitable for aspiring MiniRoos teams and Community A players. Competitive teams can nominate to play any appropriate competition levels. e.g. Wallabies, Kangas, A's and B's.
3. Social Pathway (Click here to apply)
Focused on fun, fitness, friendships, and inclusion. Ideal for players new to football, forming friendship-based teams, or balancing other life commitments. Also ideal for elite players in Years 11–12 seeking reduced training loads while maintaining a high standard of play.
Example: If both Social and Competitive U10 teams want to play in Kangas or if two U17 teams wish to enter Community A, the club will support both.
