Catalano Interiors is a family-owned business with more than fifty years experience in the furniture industry.

We believe good furniture makes a house feel like a home. As an investment, it also has to look great and last for years to come. Our family's heritage of furniture-making traces its roots back to 1949 when Francesco 'Frank' Catalano and his family migrated to Melbourne from Bari, a city in the Puglia region of Italy.

An artisan cabinet-maker who had made his name hand-crafting windows and doors for Bari's local churches, Frank soon found demand for his skills in Melbourne and set up a small workshop in a tin shed behind the family home in Coburg. In the late 1970s, he opened a furniture store on Bell Street with his three sons, and the business steadily expanded thanks to its reputation, under the name Adriatic, for well-made products and honest customer care.
