Safeguarding at Manningham United

Our Commitment

Manningham United Football Club is dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe environment where the well-being of all participants -- ranging from our MiniRoos to our valued volunteers -- is always the top priority. We believe that everyone has a role to play in fostering a safe and inclusive community.

Reporting Incidents (Match Day, Training, Team, People, Issues)

Report a concern: Incident Report Form

This report will be viewed by our Secretary, MPIO, and limited Committee members.

Our Approach

Our safeguarding strategy is built on:

  • Education: Providing training and resources to all members to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Prevention: Implementing policies and procedures to minimise risks and promote a culture of respect and inclusion.
  • Support: Offering guidance and assistance to those who may need help, ensuring they feel heard and valued.

Our Policies

We have a number of policies which help us to provide a safe environment, they can be found on our policies page

For Our MiniRoos and Youth Players

We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our youngest participants. Our coaches are trained to create a positive learning environment, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and respect.

For Our Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of our club. We ensure that all volunteers are appropriate to work with children if in a child-facing role, including Working with Children Checks where appropriate, we are rolling out safeguarding training to equip them with the knowledge to support our participants effectively.

Empowering Children to Speak Up

We encourage children and young people to speak up if they ever feel unsafe. It’s important that they know their voice matters and that help is always available. Watch this video to learn more about how we can support children to be heard:
